Sarah Chalke

Sarah Chalke was born on 27 August 1976 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Angie Chalke, and Doug Chalke are her parents. Sarah is the middle child, having one older sister Natasha Chalke, and one younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah's debut as an actor was City Boy (1992), which was a TV-produced movie. After her debut film she auditioned in 1993 for the role "Becky" of Roseanne (1988). The show was looking for an actor to replace Alicia Goranson quit the show to go to college. Sarah completed her high school graduation in 1995 while filming the 1994-1995 season of Roseanne (1988). Sarah was also in the film with Jim Varney (1994) in Ernest Goes to School (1994). In 1996, Sarah played in two movies: Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand Against Fear (1996) as a cheerleader called Krista Wilson. Sarah was asked to appear in a 1998 TV show called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy. This happened one year following Roseanne (1988). Based on Nothing Too Good For a Cowboy (1998) on which the show also had a basis. In 1993 she assumed Becky's character on Roseanne (1988). She stated that she would like to quit acting and pursue a degree in college. 2001 (1993-1997) She was Sara Gilbert's older sister in the show Roseanne (1988) but she is much younger in real life. Participated in the 1999 CCMA Award Ceremony, in which she was presented with an award for best single of the year. [September 1999] Appeared in local Vancouver theatre productions at age eight. The actress is fluent in French, German and Spanish. She works at a hospice that cares for patients who are dying. Chalke enjoys cooking with her pals (especially Thai or sushi) as well as play guitar and hike, ski (she's an instructor) and kayaking. Her father is a lawyer, as are both her parents are mediators who also manage a child adoption company. She accompanied her parents to China two years ago to help coordinate the adoptions of orphans.
