Milena Govich

Milena Govich, who is a director, actor and musician, has directed numerous episodes on TV including Chicago Med (2015), The Equalizer (2021), FBI The Most Wanted(2020), Chicago Fire (2012), and others. Milena was the Co-EP/Producing Director on Dick Wolf’s CBS series FBI (2018) and is currently attached for two pilots. Milena was among eight filmmakers selected for AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women, as well as the only Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors Program. Unspeakable was her TV show and short film. Starring Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort The film won the award for Best Episodic at Seattle International Film Festival as in addition to Best Pilot at SoHo International Film Festival. Her short film Temporary (2017 produced by Milena Vandervoort) was screened across the country. It won the Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival and Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest. The Director's Choice Award was also given out at Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has appeared in more than 100 television episodes as an actor. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Also, she was a part of the Dick Wolf series Conviction (2006), which led to her role as the very first and only female detective on the Emmy-winning TV series Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007), The Defenders (2010) (CBS), Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and Lori Stevens in the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014) have been a part of her, or have recurred. Milena has appeared in numerous films such as Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) in which she starred alongside Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) and starring alongside Method Man; as well as the role of #Lucky Number (2015). Milena was born in Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian of her high school, before she graduated with the double major in vocal performance and a premedical degree at the University of Central Oklahoma. She also graduated valedictorian. Then she made the most of her classical ballet background to appear on Broadway in the production of Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall of 'Cabaret' in Studio 54.
