Sofia Margarita Vergara is a Colombian-American actor and presenter. Vergara's mom Margarita Vergara Devergara was a housewife while her father Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo worked as an animal rancher in the meat industry. By her five siblings, as well as many of her cousins, she was named "Toti". Vergara was a first-year student at the National University of Colombia in dentistry. She left after two semesters to pursue opportunities for modeling and show business.
